What to Expect

Our services usually last an hour and a half, and are structured as follows:

  • The worship service begins with the congregation singing a selection of stanzas from the Scottish Metrical Psalter.
  • The minister opens with prayer. Everyone stands during every prayer.
  • The minister reads a portion from God's Word, using the King James Authorised Version.
  • The congregation sings some more stanzas from the Scottish Metrical Psalter.
  • The minister reads the verse or portion from Scripture which he wishes to preach from, and begins his sermon.
  • The minister ends the sermon with prayer.
  • The congregation sings some more stanzas.
  • The minister concludes the service by pronouncing the benediction on the congregation with the blessing from 2 Corinthians 13:14.
